Tyler Houston
Tyler joined the firm in 2023. Prior to joining Doucet, Tyler gained experience in numerous legal fields as a law clerk at multiple firms. His background includes assisting clients with navigating music and entertainment contracts, defending clients facing criminal charges, and securing title to numerous motor vehicles for clients in Ohio. This breadth of experience allows him to assist the firm in a variety of legal matters.
Tyler also understands the often harrowing circumstances his clients face and takes his responsibility to represent vulnerable individuals seriously. He strives to obtain the same outcomes for his clients that he would want for himself and his family. Born and raised in Columbus, Tyler graduated from Olentangy Orange High School before furthering his academic and athletic careers at Columbia University.
Shortly into his studies, he decided to pursue law. Using New York City as a headquarters, Tyler sought out experiences that would provide hands on experience in real life conflict resolution. His adventures include meeting with congressmen on both sides of the aisle in Washington D.C., speaking with Israeli and Palestinian families in Israel and the West Bank, and more. Tyler knows that his dedication to understanding both sides of an issue has forged him into the diligent lawyer he is today.
The COVID-19 Pandemic would cut his adventurous ambitions short. After receiving his Bachelor's in English Literature, Tyler returned to Columbus to attend Capital University Law School. He graduated in 2023. While at Capital, he was a member of law review, served on the board for multiple student organizations, and used what free time he had to revisit his favorite places in Ohio.
From fly-fishing in Bellfontaine, to bow hunting outside of Marietta, Tyler enjoys being outdoors experiencing nature. His unwavering loyalty to the Browns often takes him to Cleveland in the fall, while his dedication to his family takes him down to the Cincinnati area for birthdays and holidays. When not traveling, he enjoys reading, writing, and playing board games. Tyler's passions take him from C to shining C, and everywhere in between. Tyler currently lives in Columbus with his rambunctious dog Beatrice.
