Attorneys Who Protect Military Service Members’ Rights under the SCRA

Enlisting in the military offers new service members specific benefits under federal law with respect to their unpaid loans and mortgages. Creditors are required to decrease service members’ interest rates down to 6% upon enlistment. This includes credit card companies, car lenders, pay-day lenders, mortgage companies, and pawnshop lenders . The law that governs this is called the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA).

The SCRA also affords on-duty service members facing a lawsuit or foreclosure to stop the proceeding while deployed. If you are a member of the armed forces and your creditor is not complying with its obligations under the SCRA, contact Doucet & Associates immediately at (614) 944-5219. We have experience suing under the SCRA, and will certainly consider doing so again to protect our service members

Call (614) 944-5219 or schedule an appointment online to discuss your SCRA issue with one of our attorneys.
