Doucet & Associates recently hosted a coffee tasting for our lawyers and staff. When tasting coffees, we like to focus on bodies of the coffees and compare them. The body of the coffee has to do with the heaviness and texture of the coffee. Some coffees have a full heavy body or a light body. Here is some information about the delicious coffees we tasted and the different bodies and textures. Caffe Verona:
Caffe Verona is a dark roast coffee with a fuller body that is roasty sweet and made with flavors of dark cocoa. We paired this coffee with cookies that had dark chocolate and milk chocolate to help bring out the dark cocoa flavors.
Guatemala Antigua is a medium roast coffee that has mixed flavors of lemon and chocolate. This coffee also has a soft spice flavor to it. Guatemala Antigua has a smooth body and rich flavors that we could really taste as we ate rich chocolate chip muffins.
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelelektu:
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelelektu has flavors of lavender and citrus. This floral and fruity coffee has a medium body. We paired this coffee with lemon bread to help make the fruity flavors of this coffee more noticeable.
Our lawyers and staff really enjoyed the coffee tasting and delicious treats. We plan to do another coffee tasting soon so please check out our blog to learn about more types of coffee.
